Meet The Author

Jeanette M.Corprew-Cox holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary

Education from Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA and has completed

12 semesters toward a Master's  Degree in Church School Programs at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  She is a retired elementary education teacher of 35 years. She has taught kindergarten through third grade in the Fairfax County and Alexandria City Public School systems.  Ms. Corprew-Cox received an Outstanding Teacher Award from Wolf Trap for the Performing Arts and Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, 2005-2006.    She lives in Capitol Heights, Maryland with her husband, Bernard and son, Justin.  Jeanette has five sisters and four brothers; one of which is her deceased twin sister, Annette.  They being identical twins had numerous special memories which the author  shares in her first book, The ABC's in the Days of My Life As a Twin.  In her second book, Mrs. Corprew-Cox shares how they showed character in some of their childhood adventures and experiences.

 

During her tenure  as a school teacher, Mrs.Corprew-Cox enjoyed dressing up as book characters, etc. in costume.  Being creative throughout the curriculum was one of her highlights throughout the year. Because of her passion, she is now an entrepreneur of "Just Creative with Imaginary Friends and Company". She incorporates some of her original books, games, songs, poetry, movement activities, and letter writing to bring excitement to your children.
